Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name!  This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.  The Lord is in His Holy Temple, let all the earth be silent before him.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost.  As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end.  Amen. Amen.

The Apostles' Creed

 

I ​ believe in God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; 

 

The third day he rose from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of  God the Father Almighty, from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead.  I believe in the Holy Ghost, the Holy Catholic Church, the Communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting.  Amen.

Most Gracious Father,

 

It is First Church, Lord, and once more, and again we come into Your holy presence with thanksgiving and praise in our hearts.  We acknowledge our many-fold blessings and our unworthiness of your grace and mercy.  We pray that you will forgive us of our sins against You and that You will give us a clean heart, one that will let us serve You in spirit, truth and love. 

 

We are hard-pressed on all sides, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair.  We know that You have all things in Your hands.  We are persuaded that You can and will bring us through our circumstances.  God, we pray for the safety and blessing of our families and friends.  We petition Your direction in our lives as we go about life's day to day activities.  You have been our friend and Savior and we know that You will never leave us nor forsake us.  So, God, show Yourself mighty and strong in those areas where we are weak.  Continue to be a hedge around us and we will forever give You the honor and praise.  Amen.
