The Call to Worship and Invocation
O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together. This is the day that the Lord hath made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it. Dear Lord, I pray that you will make me an instrument of Your peace.

Song of the Morning – My Hope is Built
Scripture Reading -- Jude 1:17-21; 24-25
19These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.
20But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,

Gloria Patri
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost.
As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen, Amen.

Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth.
And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried;
The third day he rose from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty, from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Ghost, the Holy Catholic Church, the Communion of Saints, the Forgiveness of Sins, the Resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

Most Gracious Father,

We come before your presence with thanksgiving in our hearts for today. We bless and praise your name for all the great things that you have done. We thank you dear Lord for always making a way for us. In our hours of despair and doubt, your Holy Word comforts us. Father we pray for the many bereaved families, please speak to their loneliness and loss.

We pray for forgiveness of our sins and trespasses against you. Our intention is to lead a new life, a good life, worthy of you. In the areas where we are weak, please give us strength; where we are ignorant, please endow us with knowledge; where we are torn down, God, please build us up.

Help First Church as we go through this trying time of coronavirus and attack of ill-doings against our church and others.
Bind our hearts and minds together in harmony so that we may stand against the devil as one body of believers in you.
As we move forward in this day, bless Pastor Rogers as he is honored for his 56 years of service in the preaching ministry. Give us the wisdom to be thankful for this man of God and keep him in our prayers for safety and protection daily.

These and other bountiful blessings we pray and ask in the name of Jesus. Amen.
